ONLINE TESTING
Assessment, by aliciamarsan
Incredibly, a fun way to take tests incorporating online tools that can engage students easily as they are taking a test that looks like a game. On Goggle Forms tests look like a survey, on Plickers they use QR codes to answer and on Socrative the test is an online form as well.Gamifying a test, introducing competition and easy assessment tools would be the pluses to take into account to use any of the three options.

GOOGLE EXPEDITIONS
Find below 5 of the many interesting explorations available on Google Expeditions:
1. A Journey Along the Great Barrier Reef
2. Alice Paul & the Fight for Women’s Equality
3. Antarctica
4. Canada's Amazing Northern National Parks
5. International Space Station
Expeditions are a great way to include CLIL, VR and technology in the language classroom. As an example, through a trip through the Great Barrier Reef, you can have students practice marine creatures vocabulary on Quizlet and elicit what they have larnt on a Google Form. You can also ask them to write or make presentations on a topic such as Women's Equality. Develop a travel blog after they explore Canada's National Parks, where they could design a journey day by day, include lists of material to take, add a route to follow, etc. They could pretend having been on such expeditions and comment on each other blogs, about how enjoyable the day to day journey was or recommendations for those trips, or even make a video about their experience.
I see a limitless list of possible activities that Expeditions could trigger.

AUGMENTED REALITY

AR is a wonderful tool to engage students and make classes closer to their own world and experiences that look so beyond teachers' reach. AR now looks as something relatively easy to incorporate in lessons while it previously seemed something only technicians could handle.
In the future we can use it to practise directions, to trigger topics for writings, a conversartion at a restaurant, etc. Great for digital competence.
